Just for today
Yes sometimes we have a long plan .. sometimes it's this moment that matters. In time I hope to review products, tools and process here. But for today let me tell you what I am learning from doing .. 1 Timing! And that will lead to the development of time tables, which I could not function with out - in terms of orientation!? I think other are very likely similar, in that way! 2 consistence of mix...( The concrete!) And how it effects the out come. Now what you are looking at

All but done
Enough is enough ! For you to see the outcome... It was a project worth doing... I still need to fiddle a bit... Add handles, tidy corners and binding... ( At the moment I am weighting it down to see it's fit...) And I gave you add little shelves in side... This is the inside so far... I think it needs a darker finish... And shelves. Here is the walking stick all but finished... It is for me...and I love it! But it's an interesting idea adding the copper to the oversized wal

This is exciting.
This is a table full of studio made products and bought new products! We are about to make available at Robbi's Garden Market on Facebook marketplace. I won't be posting the catalogue here! But you can see the range at our Facebook marketplace page or on our Robbi at WSSBX Facebook page, along with links to other projects! So my thoughts is to buy in small smart digital products and pool 2 pond products to hold in store... So when people ( locals really) need something immedi

On it's way
Here is the next step... Wound with the copper I have added the first cost of seer...this time round it is just plain watered down wood glue... The next will be laquer for a few coats...then we'll see what we do next.

Tools for production
So it's exciting to receive packages through the mail. To start this leg of business I have had to invest in machines and tools. Part of what we will do here at WSSBX is buy! Acquisitions! (So fun 😁🥳) Unboxing is the ultimate in a fun reward! Once again we are setting up to be able to enjoy this with a Wssbx buyers club on Facebook, coming soon! ...but for the minute you can see it here... This is a magnet maker. We will still endeavour to make out own...but for a lesser

Selfhelp
So I found this perfect stick. It is perfect for a walking stick! ( For those who do not know there are days I fi d quite hard due to lingering autoimmune issues... And that is a whole series for another day called living with me... ) But here and now I have picture the stick... One with an indoor winter crop of fennel...waiting to be transferred in to the garden. And with there different candle Furnesses I have trialed over winter... The river stone in the bricks with cerami

Add a little shine
So 4 coats of laquer and counting. Look at the shine... In a week as the laquer cures it will become harder - the ultimate outcome is a case that resembles board.

The Finished Side.
So it is finished this is the out side... What might not be obvious is I have painted over it with glue water. This will provide the first sealing laquer. There are many layers of lacquer to go yet!

Getting on
It is getting done. I have had this project on the board for a few months now ( maybe a month and a half!) and it seemed to day it might be the job that fitted... After a morning of garden maintenance. Though it doesn't get any easier when someone fills it is just the right spot yo sun her self 🤫

Colour
So below is a look at the full template of the case being made. You can see unfolded it is around 1.2 m long and 65 cm wide. I have stated to colour it, using g oil Crayons. It will be a highly pattern design piece. I will bring going with the flow... As much as I have a style in mind! I don't have a plan. Thus method in art is called organic design.

Keep it simple stupid
I am a avid over thinker... But as a result I have brilliant planning and budgeting skills!🙄 Just saying... Althea same... I will sculpt untill it is mud and paint untill my rainbow of colours are grey! So it is something I have learned to remind myself a lot... KISS Keep it simple stupid! And it's true success usually comes in the hardyards...and trail and effort and practice...not in the one time only brilliance of a high difficulty trick! And so learning to stand and repe

The project at hand
So... True is I hope this blog blooms into something far more exciting, but at the minute I am just getting everything created. I have a vision for this .. I call it doll case. It was created when my thoughts was indeed to make dolls. But as it turns out they will be a much small element of our production and I will make them available on our rather exclusive Kofi community. But as for now! ( I have toyed with the subscriptions at patreon and Kofi and will. Get there soon eno

In the shed
Nothing beautiful starts as it's beautiful self. And for our boutique products, that's definitely true . But I do love to make beautiful things for people to enjoy in their own space and in their own time and way.

What is your passion
For me it's creating. Textiles, paper, concrete, wire, clay...even digital! It's the satisfaction of putting a process in to action and achieving some outcome. A tangible outcome. Whether it is sewing or knitting. Or drawing or painting or sculpting... Or gardening There is nothing better then some tangible out come. So thing solid and textual. Something that , well means something! Lightens a space or is able to get utilised in some daily ritual with love! It is done thing wa

Redo!
So Tuesday should be the day I start the redo! What does this mean? Well!? I have been creating a business, and dragging the idea of a website along further ride! I will be reducing all my potential outreaches to a starting spot. If you go to my notice board- you will read how I ha r been developed my digital assets base and infrastructure. But ultimately my love is in the art of creation... So This week is a branch mark and pivotal season... Of you like ' where the rubber hi
